We’re thrilled to unveil this year’s Festival of the Arts Featured Artwork, "Heart of the City" by Tate Hamilton. Each year, one Festival artist is chosen as our Featured Artist, and a piece is commissioned for our permanent art collection.

Hamilton, a celebrated artist since 1994, embarked on his artistic journey in the vibrant galleries of Colorado and New Mexico. In 1995, he expanded his horizons to the nation’s most prestigious art festivals, where his work continues to captivate audiences and earn accolades.

Renowned for his talent and vision, Hamilton has garnered numerous awards and has been invited to serve as a juror and judge at some of the most esteemed art festivals in the country. As a dedicated member of Oil Painters of America, The Portrait Society of America, and The Contemporary Masters Wednesday Art Group of Denver, he actively engages with a community of both nationally and internationally acclaimed artists, drawing inspiration and refining his craft.

A Denver resident for over sixty years, Hamilton is deeply rooted in the city’s culture. Since the late sixties, he has been an influential figure in Denver’s vibrant art and music scene, infusing his creative energy into the city’s cultural fabric.
