The Festival of the Arts is a community celebration of the visual, performing, and culinary arts. Festival has been an Oklahoma City tradition since 1967, bringing a variety of talented artists together in downtown OKC’s Bicentennial Park. Festival is considered a rite of spring and a signature event for the Arts Council, boasting an average of 750,000 attendees every year.
Occurring annually in April, Festival is a great occasion for performers from around the state in all genres to share their name and talent with the event’s crowds. This year’s event will take place Tuesday, April 23rd to Sunday, April 28th.
Applications are currently being accepted for two opportunities detailed below:
Festival Performing Artist
- Open to performers of all genres
- Looking to fill 3 stages during the festival
- Openings are Tuesday – Sunday
- Acts need to be family friendly as it is a public event
- Applicants must fill out our form and include a demo
- Deadline to apply is January 31st

Festival’s Got Talent
- Singing and talent competition
- Open to students K-12
- Participants are separated into two age groups: Kindergarten – 8th grade, 9th – 12th grade
- Auditions are February 25th & 26th at Farmers Public Market
- Main competition is April 27th (Saturday of Festival) on the Colcord Children’s Stage
- One winner will be chosen from each age group
- Acts need to be family friendly as it is a public event
- Deadline to sign up is February 17th
